Bank of America: BAC roles out REOTrans program; No one knows.

REOTrans, now supposedly going by Equator (no information available on their website yet), has teamed up with BAC-Bank of America for a new short sale real time processing scheme. So far the details are scarce as we have already started working with Bank of America on this program but there is no standardization for companies that are processing short sales for homeowners and agents.

At this point in time we have made contact with REOTrans and they are not sure about how 3rd party agents should sign up and are currently directing attorneys to place their Bar information into they system where and agent would put their license number. So far it is unclear whether companies operating in all 50 states like Absolute Consultant Group will need to have a different type of sign on or if everything will have to be managed through one standard one.

Even though the short sale negotiators at this time are directing homeowners, real estate agents and 3 party negotiators to sign up they are also directing those parties to speak to customer service to get instructions on how to deal with the sign in. So far none of the departments at Bank of America can clearly explain or answer questions about REOTrans and their platform.
