Litton Loan Servicing: Letter of Authorization Time Frames

Litton Loan Servicing, founded by Larry B. Litton, has time frames automatically set up for letter of authorizations to expire. This is currently set at 90 Days Months but if a homeowner so chooses to they can write a letter for a 3rd party and once submitted that authorization is permanent until the homeowner chooses to remove the 3rd party from their account. To remove a 3rd party authorization that may be on file by submitting another letter to request to remove the 3rd party. Again they can choose from multiple options as to the length of time to authorize or to leave the authorization permanently until they otherwise choose to. Litton Loans, like most banks, is notorious for not receiving faxed. Always make sure whether it is to confirm the authorization or to confirm the removal of an authorization always call Litton to confirm.

Letter of Authorization (LOA) processing time: Up to 72 hours to process (3 Business days)

About the Author

Jonathan Katz started in the Loss Mitigation industry in early 2000's. He worked for the one of the largest loan servicers in the US in their loss mitigation/foreclosure department. Speaking with approximately a work flow of 600 cases a month and several years of experience he created an organization dedicated to helping homeowners. Our Goal here is to increase the accuracy of the information found on the internet amidst a sea of nonsensical logic about a business that is anything but outside of the box.
